 Artist Larry Nielson of Utah recreated this rendering of the historic raising of the American flag over Iwo Jima during WWII. The original artwork was presented to President George W. Bush at a fund-raiser in Los Angeles in May of 2002. The artwork has since become immortalized, as artwork prints have been carried and mailed to WWII reunions all over the United States. The prints are now signed by hundreds of the heroes of the 4th Marine Division who were on Iwo Jima during the legendary battle.
